Our campaign for Highlands Ranch House District 43 began in earnest with a kickoff presentation at the Highlands Ranch Sheriff Substation, and we exceeded all expectations!
Due to the room size, we intended to limit attendance to 45. However, because of word of mouth and overall interest, far more residents were present. They wanted to hear about the possibility of having sane, responsible, representation in our state government, and turned out for an early Friday morning event.
I discussed my recent trip to Poland and Ukraine to assess the possibility of providing refugee aid and assistance from the non-profit High Reliability Organization Council. I serve on their advisory board and volunteered to determine the need and delivery feasibility (you can see more details in my other blog entries Part I, Part II, Part III). During a follow-up trip to Kyiv we will deliver samples of portable solar panels and generators, and establish a supply line.
Since it was our campaign kickoo, I also discussed my background, the campaign for HD43, and my top three priorities, which are Public Safety (including stopping jails from being the de facto public health system in Colorado), Public Education, and Environmental Protection.
