Called an audible and went on ahead to Kyiv as it and the remote areas near the front are in far deeper need than Medyka. Invited to go on a supply run to the front. Really want to, but not sure I can justify staying the extra 4-5 days it would require with the cost involved and the scheduled appointments at home.
Picture shows a young woman with her 4-month old kid left right when the war started (when her kid was 2.5 months younger). Helped get her junk moved around. She got off at Lviv to see her husband for the first time since the war started. They met in LvIv because no MAMs (Military Age Males) are allowed to leave Ukraine.
Young women and teenage girls are providing border patrol and rear area security so that all MAMs can be at the front. Saw some other interesting things too that likely aren’t too sensitive but probably best to not mention them.
Photography has been relaxed, but I am told just a few weeks ago one could be arrested immediately for taking photos as Russian spies/infiltrators were uploading the images for geo location and targeting. So likely will be circumspect on pics and posts.
