How many times and how many people must die? 19 children and two teachers killed at Uvalde, with 17 more wounded. Now in the middle of a 4th of July parade, 6 people gunned down and more than a score wounded. How can the GOP and Bob Marshall’s HD43 opponent in Highlands Ranch continue to stay “radio silent”?

Bob supports Red Flag Laws and magazine capacity restrictions. Bob is also willing to consider restrictions on semi-automatic weapons for those under 21 years old as he seriously doubts those who drafted the 2nd Amendment would concur with allowing those under 21 to have the capacity to inflict more death in seconds than an entire company of colonial soldiers could. Particularly as the Founding Fathers did not think that those under 21 years old were mature enough to exercise what they considered the most fundamental right in any Republic: the right to vote.

By contrast, Bob’s opponent not only opposes ANY gun safety measures, but makes eliminating the few safety measures present in Colorado a PRIMARY issue of his campaign. This is within the context of benefiting financially from the gun industry as a firearms maker and dealer, while failing to say ANYTHING, even a statement of sympathy for the victims, after the recent spates of death dealt by young men upon children. Playing ostrich in the face of issues of public concern is not the representative that Highlands Ranch wants or deserves.
