I did a Douglas County Sheriff Office Ride Along last night (July 30). It was very quiet and sedate (the Deputy I was with was quite surprised). I've been trying to do this for more than a year, but Covid etc. kept shutting it down and they only recently restarted.

Rode a bit with one Deputy and the rest of the 2pm - midnight swing shift with another. Both were outstanding examples of what we want our Law Enforcement professionals to be. We had some good discussions on their issues and concerns that I hope to translate into better policy for all in the state house.
