According to Denver7:
Jogan Health, LLC, an Englewood-based healthcare staffing company that the state — without verifying past work experience — paid $72 million for COVID-19 vaccination services, intentionally falsified wage records and willfully violated wage laws, a Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) investigation concluded.
Gee, if only someone had warned the DougCo County Commission and their new Board of Health about these people . . . Oh wait . . . "someone" did . . . multiple times over the past year.
So Jogan falsified references to obtain multi-million dollar COVID contracts. (Hopefully AG Weiser will bring down the procurement fraud case after the election).
Then they WILLFULLY violated state wage and hour laws while their owner was buying multi-million dollar homes in Hawaii and Parker. An investigation into "broader systematic" falsification of employment records is being undertaken (a very rare occurrence). And this WILL NOT be the final shoe to drop.
Does anyone really think that a fly-by-night shell operation like this, set up to bleed taxpayer dollars, that falsifies references and wage/hour records, was not falsifying the public health records for their government contracts?
Particularly for our own new Board of Health?
Yet our County Commissioners gave Jogan a multi-million dollar extension even after Colorado suspended Jogan from any further health contracts?
In good faith, I tried warning the County Commissioners and BoH since last November that this was not an operator they should be trusting with public health contracts.
Is it incompetence, corruption, or both?
